Very late posting this because on the 1st of October we moved house.

We had 21 years of accumulated stuff to move and that was after we thought we had cleared a lot.

Spoiler Alert. We had, but also we hadn’t…

Anyway, we’re in, and we have both been unpacking and taking stuff to the dump and charity shops still. We have decided that certain rooms will just be unpacked before we can begin the filtering process that we should have done a long time ago. It was a wrench after 21 years, but we love where we now are, and it will suit us, and our disabled daughter when she visits, perfectly.

As for reading, I hadn’t really read much for the first ten days, a grand total of two books, but have now read three more as the amount of things that we have to do is easing.  Not completely sure what I am going to be reading, but I am working my way through the library books and others as they are unpacked. These are the library books I have out, so I will pick from these for the remainder of the month, when hopefully a slightly more normal service will resume in November:

Fiesta: A Journey Through Festivity – Daniel Stables

Nature’s Genius: Evolution’s Lessons for a Changing Planet – David Farrier

Climbing Days – Dorothy Pilley

What The Wild Sea Can Be: The Future Of The World’s Ocean – Helen Scales

Rope: How A Bundle Of Twisted Fibres Became The Backbone Of Civilisation – Tim Queeney

Radical Cartography: What Maps Tell Us About Who We Are – William Rankin

Muslim Europe: A Journey in Search of a Fourteen Hundred Year History – Tharik Hussain

Things We Found in the Ground – Eleanor Bruce & Lucilla Gray

Up: A Scientist’s Guide To The Magic Above Us – Lucy Rogers

Storm Pegs: A Life Made In Shetland – Jen Hadfield

To Catch A Spy: How The Spycatcher Affair Brought MI5 In From The Cold Tim Tate

If you have read any of them, let me know in the comments below
